We’re storytellers, communicators, futurers and creatives with a knack for using wicked storytelling to talk about wicked problems

We offer a combination of training, futures workshops, support and live experiences to help activists, organisations, and individuals tackle the world’s toughest challenges.

We believe that complex issues—wicked problems like climate change, social inequality, and sustainability—deserve stories that are bold, memorable, and impactful.

Our mission is simple: to turn big ideas and difficult challenges into stories that resonate. Through workshops, live events, consulting, and training, we help future makers and world shapers craft and share narratives that inspire action and provoke thought.

Because when it comes to tackling wicked problems, we believe that unforgettable storytelling is a force for change.

Our story

Wicked Storytelling was created by a woman passionate about stories as a way to reach diverse audiences to provoke thought, spark discussions, and encourage pro-environmental and climate action.

Suzanne Whitby is a seasoned communicator, facilitator, and storyteller with over 20 years of experience in using stories to make complex issues clear, engaging, and inspiring. She is the founder of SciComm Success, where she’s spent the last 14 years helping scientists and researchers communicate their work through powerful, accessible storytelling. As the founder of Futures Fit, she uses storytelling to help people “pre-experience” possible futures, build futures literacy, and make thoughtful choices in the present.

Suzanne is also an interdisciplinary researcher at VU Amsterdam, exploring how multi-sensory, place-based storytelling can spark pro-environmental thinking and climate action. As an oral storyteller, she’s toured Europe, captivating adult audiences with tales that blend tradition, truth, and the future, bringing wise, witty, and wonder-filled stories to life.

A former ocean campaigner and passionate climate communicator, Suzanne has been active in sustainability communication since 2012. She delivers talks, training, and workshops, and moderates events, all with the aim of raising awareness, fostering engagement, and driving change toward a hopeful, sustainable future.
